The Budwig Diet was named after its founder, Dr. Johanna Budwig who was a German biochemist.
Dr. Budwig’s alternative cancer treatment program has been used to fight a whole host of serious and degenerative diseases including Cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis and many more.
Johanna Budwig herself lived to the ripe old age of 95 which indicates that she knew a thing about staying healthy!
The Budwig Diet is an alternative to Chemotherapy and Radiology treatments which have such a low success rate of only 3%. These treatments are also invasive and can do serious damage to the good cells in the body which can even cause death in patients.
Dr. Johanna Budwig did much research and discovered that the blood of cancer patients had lower levels of lipoproteins, phosphatides and Omega 3 and also contained a strange green and yellow substance that was not found in healthy patients.
Upon making these discoveries, Dr Johanna Budwig came to the conclusion that if the patients were to alter their diets, which were the main cause of illness in the first place, it was possible for them to in many cases make a full and total recovery.
The Budwig Diet is a very strict diet and comprises mainly of two core ingredients in which meals are based around. These ingredients include Cottage Cheese or Quark and Flaxseed Oil. Both of these are used due to their high quantities of Flaxseed Oil and Omega 3. Other ingredients include lentils, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, raw vegetables, brown rice and vegetable juice.
As the diet is so strict, there are also things that are an absolute no no, including hydrogenated oils, meats and also sugar. Sugar is extremely bad for cancer patients as cancerous cells feed off the glucose and become stronger.
There are of course no guarantees with any approach to healing serious illnesses whether alternative or traditional, but one thing is for sure. The Budwig Diet has had some incredible success.
